Green Face of Whiteface

I assume that the mountains appear more treacherous when covered with snow, but it’s hard to imagine the view gets much better. This photo was taken from the top of Whiteface ski resort between thunderstorms. The thick haze obscures the mountains in the distance and creates a beautiful, ominous view.
