Reflections of WWII
The WWII Memorial in DC is often overlooked, between the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial but rarely mentioned with the pair. It is the nicest monument though, consisting of a huge plaza with twin fountains memorializing those who fought in the second World War. It's a difficult monument to capture due to it's size, but the right sky can balance the image. The early winter sunrise provides a brilliant background for some quiet contemplation.
