Sunburst at Beaver Stadium

The sun finds a precise gap in Beaver Stadium's upper steel framework and detonates in a full starburst that radiates outward across a misty Happy Valley morning, the light rays fanning through the structural lattice and spilling across the curved exterior and surrounding lawn in long golden streaks. Shot from above at just the right moment, the stadium's tiered concrete decks, stone base, and Penn State scoreboard are all rendered in warm early light while a soft layer of ground mist clings to the treeline in the distance, the whole scene carrying that particular stillness that belongs exclusively to a Saturday morning before 107,000 people arrive and change everything.

This is Beaver Stadium as almost no one ever sees it: powerful and geometric in the quiet, the architecture earning its own attention without the spectacle of a crowd. For Penn State faithful it hits differently than any game day shot ever could, and for anyone who simply appreciates bold architectural photography delivered at peak atmospheric conditions, it stands entirely on its own considerable merits.

Print & Size Guide

Fine Art Paper
Professionally printed on archival fine art paper. Smaller prints arrive matted in standard frame sizes:

4×6 print → 5×7 mat
5×7 print → 8×10 mat
8×10 or 8×12 print → 11×14 mat

Larger fine art paper prints are sold unmatted and are ready for your choice of framing.

Metal Prints
Printed directly on aluminum for a vibrant, contemporary presentation. Metal prints arrive ready to hang and appear to float away from the wall.

Choosing a Size
The size shown in the selector refers to the photograph itself, not the outside dimensions of the mat. Select a size and finish above to see the options available for this photograph.

About the Limited Edition

Every Spiral View Photography print is part of a signed and numbered limited edition. Edition sizes vary depending on the print size and format.

Each print is personally signed and individually numbered. The signature and edition number are placed on the mat or on the back of the print, never across the photograph itself, so the image remains completely unobstructed.

Once an edition sells out, no additional prints from that edition will be produced.
