Sunrise at the ODK Fountain

The ODK Fountain anchors the center of the University of Maryland's McKeldin Mall in a series of descending stone tiers that catch the blush and peach of an early morning sky in a shallow, mirror-still pool, the reflection of the Main Administration Building's red brick and white columns wavering softly in the water below. The central axis draws the eye forward past benches and open lawn toward that familiar red and white facade framed by a corridor of mature trees, all of it bathed in the particular soft warmth of a summer morning that hasn't fully committed to daylight yet. The graduated geometry of the fountain structure gives the composition an architectural elegance that pairs naturally with the neoclassical building waiting at the far end.

For Maryland alumni this is deeply familiar territory rendered at its absolute finest, the daily shortcut across the Mall reframed as something worth stopping for. The interplay of the fountain's structured stonework against the organic canopy overhead and that quietly spectacular gradient sky makes this a genuinely versatile piece, equally at home in a professional setting or a living space.

Print & Size Guide

Fine Art Paper
Professionally printed on archival fine art paper. Smaller prints arrive matted in standard frame sizes:

4×6 print → 5×7 mat
5×7 print → 8×10 mat
8×10 or 8×12 print → 11×14 mat

Larger fine art paper prints are sold unmatted and are ready for your choice of framing.

Metal Prints
Printed directly on aluminum for a vibrant, contemporary presentation. Metal prints arrive ready to hang and appear to float away from the wall.

Choosing a Size
The size shown in the selector refers to the photograph itself, not the outside dimensions of the mat. Select a size and finish above to see the options available for this photograph.

About the Limited Edition

Every Spiral View Photography print is part of a signed and numbered limited edition. Edition sizes vary depending on the print size and format.

Each print is personally signed and individually numbered. The signature and edition number are placed on the mat or on the back of the print, never across the photograph itself, so the image remains completely unobstructed.

Once an edition sells out, no additional prints from that edition will be produced.
