The Husky at the HUB

Signed and numbered limited-edition fine art photography, available on fine art paper or metal.

Print & Size Guide

Fine Art Paper
Professionally printed on archival fine art paper. Smaller prints arrive matted in standard frame sizes:

4×6 print → 5×7 mat
5×7 print → 8×10 mat
8×10 or 8×12 print → 11×14 mat

Larger fine art paper prints are sold unmatted and are ready for your choice of framing.

Metal Prints
Printed directly on aluminum for a vibrant, contemporary presentation. Metal prints arrive ready to hang and appear to float away from the wall.

Choosing a Size
The size shown in the selector refers to the photograph itself, not the outside dimensions of the mat. Select a size and finish above to see the options available for this photograph.

Fine Art Paper: 4x6 prints are matted to 5x7, 5x7 prints to 8x10, and 8x10/8x12 prints to 11x14. Larger paper prints are unmatted. Metal prints arrive ready to hang.

About the Limited Edition

Every Spiral View Photography print is part of a signed and numbered limited edition. Edition sizes vary depending on the print size and format.

Each print is personally signed and individually numbered. The signature and edition number are placed on the mat or on the back of the print, never across the photograph itself, so the image remains completely unobstructed.

Once an edition sells out, no additional prints from that edition will be produced.

A bronze Husky lunges forward on its granite pedestal outside the Husky Union Building with the coiled, mid-stride energy of an animal caught between a trot and a full charge, its detailed fur and open jaw rendered in the warm-cool contrast of late afternoon Pacific Northwest light. Paired royal blue Husky Union Building banners flank the Gothic stone arched entry behind the sculpture, the "Since 1949" detail visible against the deep navy, while the warm red brick facade rises above in the collegiate Gothic style that gives this corner of the UW campus its particular visual character. A dramatic sky of deep cobalt and wind-swept cloud adds the kind of atmospheric urgency that transforms a great campus photograph into something genuinely cinematic.

The composition layers three distinct levels of Husky identity — the bronze mascot in motion, the banner identification of the building, and the Gothic architecture that has defined student life here since the Truman administration — into a single frame that communicates institutional pride with both visual sophistication and genuine depth. UW alumni will feel the immediate recognition, and anyone drawn to the combination of dynamic sculpture and bold collegiate architecture will find it equally compelling.
